Phuket cricket could be said to have arrived when on the 16th February 2012 the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Members Eleven, from Lords, the home of cricket, played their first game of a two week tour of Thailand with a T20 match at the ACG. The ACG since having its first game in early November 2011, the Phuket Cricket Group (PCG) and ACG have hosted several high profile tours including an eleven from the long-established Singapore Cricket Club, the Delhi Viceroys, and the Cricket Association of Thailand National Team vs Asian Invitational XI which featured former Bangladesh test captain, Aminul Islam. The Alan Cooke Cricket Ground (ACG) is located in a quiet area of Thalang district. When driving from the Heroines Monument, it takes us only around 5 minutes drive north along Thepkarasattri Road and turn left for local road number 3032. The cricket ground can be found approximately 1 km after turning left from Thepkarasattri Road. Alan Cooke Cricket Ground video: http: //youtu. be/5B5iIeFxiGM.
