The Kathu Waterfall has 3 levels, the top level can be reached by about a 20 minute walk up some fairly steep steps, so wear flat, easy to walk shoes, and take water to drink. The waterfall is not big so a visit is more of a trek in the forest, although it is possible to take a dip in one of the waterfall’s pools. There is an ice cream, light snack and drinks shop and a Thai restaurant at the lower level of the waterfall. If heading to Kathu waterfall from Patong, after driving over Patong Hill, heading towards Phuket Town, after about 5 minutes drive you will come to the traffic light controlled Kathu crossroads, you will see a Caltex Petrol Station on your right. At the crossroads turn left onto highway 4020, after about 1 km you will see a black marble sign indicating left for Kathu Waterfall. Turn left and after about a 2 km drive you will reach the waterfall car park.
