Since 1989, Phuket Country Club is one of the finest golf courses which was built by converting a reclaimed tin mine in Kathu. The club has an 18-hole course in the old golf course and a country club course with 9-hole course. A variety golf tournaments were held here such as LADIES KOSAIDO THAILAND OPEN 1992, PRINCE BERNARD CUP, THAI SENIOR PGA CHALLENGE 2002, PHUKET THAILAND LADIES MASTERS 2005 & PHUKET ASIAN SENIOR MASTERS 2006 and 2008 & 1st-TGA Junior Golf Thailand Regional Championship Challenge 2010.
