The Riverside Restaurant, Bangtao is well known by locals and expats who love authentic Thai food at reasonable prices. Located on the beach road between Surin and Bangtao, it is around a 5 minute walk from Bangtao Beach heading towards Surin, and is close to Surin Beach in Soi 8 on the beach road, beside a small stream, with bamboo seating and tables. It closes to the small road bridge, which crosses the steam. It has ordinary decor, but this family run dining place, certainly does not serve up ordinary taste food. It has an extensive Thai menu such as Cashew Nut Salad, Chicken Massaman Curry, Chicken Satay, Pad Tai and Chicken Green Curry. Riverside closes on every Sunday and it is not open during low season.
