The Thalang Museum has information about the history and formation of Phuket, and is located near to the Heroines Monument. It has 4 main sections. The first section being about Phuket rock and geographical formations. The next section has models and displays about the 2 Heroines of Phuket, Chan and Mook and their battle and defense of Thalang. The third section has information on the history of Chinese immigrants. The final section has life size models and tells the history of other ethnic groups such as Muslims and the Sea Gypsies. To get there if driving towards the Airport on the Airport Road (Thepkasattri Road) highway 402, at the Heroines Monument Traffic Circle turn right into Pa Khlok Road highway 4027 the Thalang National Museum is a few hundred metres on the right. It can be difficult to see as it is set back off the road, but it is sign posted.
