Tiger Kingdom is in the Kathu district of Phuket, and is the place to go if you want to get up real close to fully grown tigers or young tiger cubs. Tigers here have been hand raised by their trainers since young, therefore that have a strong bond with their trainers. Before entering visitors are asked to leave belongings such as bags and their shoes in the locker room, and wash their hands. Cameras can be taken inside but the flash cannot be used and must be turned off. There is a staff photographer that can also take photos it required. The well trained and experienced staff are able to answer any questions visitors may have and ensure you have a pleasant time. But always remember these Big Cats are still wild animals, treat them with respect and follow the safety rules and instructions of the staff. After a walk around the rooms and small gardens, visitors may want to stop off at the tiger view restaurant before heading back to the beach or their hotel.
